City and Diocese Voluntary Schools Fund

This is a Fund administered by the LDBS. In recent years it has been particularly helpful to schools as a subsidy in respect of educational visits and journeys. The Trustees would be grateful if schools could note the deadline dates for applications for a group grant for a school journey/field trip etc are: 28th February for Summer term; 30th June for Autumn term and 30th October for Spring term journeys. They are then able to budget for the money to be spread across the whole financial year. The total amount available for grants in 2007/8 is around £16 000 per annum which does not go far across 148 schools.

When applying for school journey grants, as much information as to the educational nature of the journey would be appreciated.

Please note that all pupils for whom assistance is required must have attended a Church of England School within the Diocese of London for at least two years.
