Details for making an application for a first appointment 1) Application via LDBS (who will act as a 'clearing
house' to LDBS Schools) using the LDBS NQT application form.
To proceed through the LDBS you must complete an INFORMATION SHEET (pdf online form) together with an APPLICATION FORM (pdf online form). (Please note: these forms can be filled in online but cannot be saved unless you print them to your desktop printer [paper copy] or if you want a hard copy you can print them to a pdf writer or microsoft image writer [i.e. go to: file - print - printer name - select "Microsoft Office Image Writer or Adobe pdf" - OK - which will save to your directory].) This process may be initiated by filling in an information sheet either online (to do so please click here) or both forms may be requested through Pat Regan on 020 7932 1162. The London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS) serves 150 schools located across 18 Local Education Authorities (LEAs) north of the River Thames and within the M25 motorway. The LDBS works in partnership with the LEAs and staff are able to take advantage of the training and advisory opportunities offered by both the LEA and the LDBS. Teachers working in LDBS schools are encouraged to further their professional development and courses are provided for preparing to undertake a senior management role, and to progress to become Headteachers. 133 Primary Schools - 66 with nursery units or nursery classes. 14 Secondary Schools - all with sixth forms. 2 Academies (3 planned Academies) The locations of schools vary from the 'Green Belt' to central London.
