LINKS:

DfESwww.dfes.gov.uk
A good site to search for anything. Has a great governors homepage & a million and 1 links to relevant pages. However, it can at times be a bit difficult to wade through unless you use the site search. A particularly good offshoot is:

British Council - www.britishcouncil.org/socrates-study-visits-how-to-apply
If you would like the opportunity to participate in a European Education programme which will give you the chance to visit a European Country with a team of Head, Deputies, Advisers and other professionals to look at examples of good practice then click on above link.
Additionally, the British Council can also fund Heads, Deputies, Advisers and Teachers to attend in-service training courses or week long job shadowing in other EU countries.  There is no deadline for this funding stream-known as Comenius 2.2-and an application form and full details are available via their web pages at www.britishcouncil.org/socrates-sfe-european-inservice-training.htm

EMIE at NFER - www.nfer.ac.uk/emie
